Birmingham CEO wants Wrexham game in USA

Maxco CEO Craig Gardner has stated that he wants to take Birmingham City to the United States for a friendly match against Wrexham.

Gardner, who is also the co-owner of Wrexham, believes that a match between the two clubs in the US would be a great opportunity to grow the game of soccer in America.

“I think it would be a fantastic opportunity for both clubs,” Gardner said. “Wrexham has a huge following in the US, and Birmingham City is a historic club with a lot of tradition.

“I think it would be a great way to showcase the game of soccer in the US and to help grow the sport in this country.”

Gardner’s comments come after Wrexham’s recent success in the FA Cup.
