Pasadena Public Health Department Urges Residents to Take Precautions

The Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) has issued a warning to the public after a rabid bat was found deceased near the intersection of East Green Street and South Hudson Avenue in the city's Old Town area.

According to PPHD Acting Director Manuel Carmona, this is the first bat to test positive for rabies in Pasadena this year. Officials are urging residents to take precautions and seek immediate medical attention if they suspect they may have come into contact with the infected animal.
