Riyadh region to support growing demand for cloud and AI services

Oracle's investment in Saudi Arabia now stands at US$15 billion

American multinational tech conglomerate Oracle announced Tuesday the opening of its second public cloud region in Saudi Arabia. The new Riyadh region will help public and private sector organizations migrate all types of workloads to Oracle Cloud, including its AI and machine learning services.

This is Oracle's second public cloud region in Saudi Arabia and is part of its US$15 billion investment to boost the country's digital transformation. Oracle's first public cloud region in Saudi Arabia was launched in Jeddah in 2020.

The new Riyadh region will offer a full range of Oracle Cloud services, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, and Oracle Autonomous Database.

Oracle's investment in Saudi Arabia is part of its commitment to the country's Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil.
